Earth and sky are a classic example of the yin and yang of Feng Shui and no more perfectly seen in balance than at daybreak on a trail in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. If you are lucky enough to live in Colorado you will know about our amazing mountains over 14,000 feet high. We call them the 14ers and there are 54 of them – some of the highest peaks in our nation and our continent.Continue reading

In my vacation (Feng Shui) “element” — Water
The five elements of Feng Shui play out wherever we are – whether we’re at home or traveling and staying in new places. They make up the energy of everything – both yin and yang. The elements are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood and are expressed in a variety of ways. In places where the elements are balanced, we feel more relaxed; we let our guard down; we allow ourselves to explore new feelings and new ways of being. We’re open – not defensive. A place that brings us balance is the kind of place we often choose for vacation – a place to fill up with renewing energy so that we can return to work and go about our business of living.Continue reading
Feng Shui for Home Sellers — a workshop for anyone getting ready to sell their home
When people describe how they decided to buy their home, they usually say something like: “I just knew when I walked up that this was the place for me. A warm winter day reminds me of the yin/yang balance of Feng Shui.
Feng Shui teaches balance and provides practical solutions for achieving it – Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang are opposites, but so integrally aligned they don’t exist without the other. Neither is greater or less than the other. Both are equally important and equally support each other. Each holds the nature of the other to create balance and harmony.Continue reading
Put Your House on a Feng Shui Diet in 2010
I know that this month the parking lot will be full at the fitness club. All the people who resolved to work-out to lose weight and be healthy will be there and that’s a good thing. I applaud them and anyone who begins a new regime because there is powerful energy in beginnings. We save January to start that project because there is just something about this month that inspires the grand gesture. So here’s my suggestion for a grand gesture to begin and you don’t even have to go out into the cold to get started: put your house on work-out schedule to lose weight: clean out your closets, your storage shed, and your garage.Continue reading
